Split in half :)

It became a 'tradition' for our ETS to have lunch together at Asia City after class, and for me and BFF to split a bubble tea in half. Today's flavour: Watermelon with lychee, no bubbles :) Fun lunch while listening to Tito Ron and Tita Bambi's love story ♥

You ♥

You know me very well, You always make me smile; You thrill me with excitement and grace my heart's desire. You never give up on me and never ever will, You fill my life with love, a love that I can feel. You know my struggles, You know when I'm in pain, but I'm always overjoyed when I hear You say my name. You delight in me, You call me beautiful; Despite of my brokenness, With You, life is always full!

High Game :)

YA's fellowship tonight: bowling! I'm not a sporty person but I guess bowling is my game now. I'm not really good at it and it's my first time to see "high game" appear on the scoring screen. I remember my bowling class in the university, I almost failed it! The lowest grade in PE I ever had. Tonight is my fourth game this year. The first one was in Edmonton with my fellow youth workers during Breakforth. The second was I-CAN-ROC's fundraiser, the third just another fun time with YA. It ju...

BFF ♥

After my midterm exam, I had dinner with Ate Christine. She prepared sinigang na sugpo and adobong sitaw, yummy! She even made fruit salad especially just for me :) and of course, our traditional tea with honey every after meal. It was good to catch up, share heart-warming stories while the rain pours outside. We talked about everything in life-joys and sorrows, funny and silly, frustrations and hopes...And the best part? Holding hands while praying together :) Thank you for the quality tim...

A different kind of Tuesday night...

Tomorrow is my mid-term exam. Tonight is our weekly study night but instead of reviewing my lessons, I worked a couple of hours updating the church's database, had an interesting talk with Sam, met new guests- Jacob, Cindy, and Jackie, had my quiet time, and finished my ETS assignment. :) It was not the usual kind of study night for me but it's all good. I'm loving Tuesday nights more ♥ thanks JC! :)

Mami

After work, Filipino movie date {made me miss Pinas more, it was set in places where I used to go to} and Filipino dinner {mami and arrozcaldo} with Filipino sisters {Mami Jo, Jaq, and Laine :)} [I took a picture of the yummy mami but my phone fell in Laine's van!] It was a fun night. I like how Tita Jo is a mom to all of us [youth workers, YAs, BIAS, son's gf... :p] and we are all accountability partners and peer disciples. We talked about our beautiful lives. Yeah, Life is good! Thank you...

Siblings' Love ♥

Gone were the days that we were all super skinny and my younger siblings were so small! After church [since my parents gave some of our guests a ride] I drove and we enjoyed chatting throughout the ride except bunso was missing. Well, she asked dad to go on a group movie date. Wow! Our youngest is now a teenage lady. :) While having lunch at home, we were chatting about crushes while watching tv and munching ice cream for dessert. I feel I've got only a few more years [feel so old, while al...

Gospel Transformation

One of the best moments I had with Stillwaters is going through GT (done with 5/6 units). When my family migrated to Winnipeg and finally found a church, I'm really glad that we share the same heart for the Gospel. :) Our YA just finished the whole series. Tonight, we particularly talked about "Barriers to Love." This maybe the last lesson but the application is on-going and for a lifetime. "Every time we love someone, we make ourselves vulnerable. We open our lives to their rejection, an...

Maver :)

Ten years ago I shared the Good News to my high school friend, Maver. Today she said she's now very ready to commit her life to Jesus and seeks a greater sense of purpose. So, I led her in prayer of receiving Christ while chatting through Facebook! :) After high school, we probably met only twice, on my 18th birthday and in one of our class reunions. But we try to keep in touch whenever and however. I never thought about how I impacted her life. She said [translated/paraphrased], "I want my...

Broken Glasses

Yesterday was a long day- breakfast BS at Tim's with Ate O and Jaq, then road trip to Morden for ETS, we had thanksgiving dinner with the whole class and came home late in the evening, did not even noticed that my glasses fell when I got off Yaya Jamie's car. And this afternoon, I found them lying there, broken. I still remember that my glasses from Pinas broke on my first day at work. And my first paycheque was used to buy these pair of glasses and one more. Well, they're still usable but ...

From the Inside Out: The Externally Focused Life

A couple of days without electronics is such a relief! :) BIAS Retreat 2012 is so awesome! :) I had a lot of God-moments which include spending quality time with JC, cabin huddle, In the Mirror with Yaya Jamie, biking with Bea and helping her write her testimony, the peaceful sight of the lake and the heavens, the star-filled sky during the camp fire, the Hot Seat with our small group [You are inspiring! You are a confident woman! You are beautiful! You are deeply rooted in the Word!...], la...

Chareena ♥

I've been thinking and praying about you all day... First, it was early morning when I can't help but notice the change of date and sent you the greeting of a sleepyhead. Then, when I went to work, I wore this scarf you gave me (when you came back to Pinas and were on the last year of your UP life and I was about to migrate here), I even wore it to school, all night! I like its warmth especially that it's starting to get cold here in Winterpeg with its freezing temperature. It even added ...

Student Life

It was the second night of E=mC2. And in between was IVCF Fundraiser night. Hearing students' testimonies of their campus ministry made me reminisce my college life. As well, Rodel joined us and I gladly helped him edit his paper while Jess brought as some home-baked cookies after the said event! Sweet! :) Tonight actually reminds me of those nights after Stillwaters or Movement Life when Viv and I would always sign a late permit. We usually stay at Yakal lobby to chat and pray until 1am (cu...

When Bosses Cross the Border...

Whenever my bosses go on holiday, Tita Chie always brings me something. Today I got a swiss milk chocolate and a pair of gold dangling earrings with orange and blue accents. I love milk chocos especially Swiss and those colours are my fave, too! :) Lovely gifts encourage me, even a nice way to start a new month and another hectic week! ♥ Excited to go out-of-town! :)

Little Children ♥

Today, I assisted Kuya Paul in teaching the Beige Class. I love children and I consider teaching them as a privilege. But what these little children do not know is how they can impact the lives of grown-up people like me. I said hello to the Orange class and borrowed coloured pens for my students. There, Bree greeted me with a tight hug while Juliane exclaimed with a lovely smile, "You're so pretty, ate." God uses even little children to make me feel loved. ♥ We actually talked about Luke...

Barefoot :)

It's been a lovely day ♥ I was mesmerized by the beauty of the autumn colours. The falling leaves made my road trip like a fantasy. After ETS, had BS over sushi with Ate Odette, Jaq, and Bree. Ate O liked my sandals and gave it to her. So, it was my first time to drive with barefoot. It felt different but I didn't mind since it was a two-minute ride from their home to ours. Then I spent the rest of the day preparing the bulletin and camp materials. The family LIFEgroup were still at home wh...

Answered Prayer and Apple Crisp ♥

It was a hectic work week of writing proposals, processing invoices, and other usual admin stuff but I really enjoyed it. I love working especially when I am productive. Today, my bosses went on a holiday and I prayed there won't be complaints. The phone kept ringing but most were telemarketers' calls, some employee enquiries regarding paycheques and supplies, and some clients wanting one-time job quote and free estimate. Also dealt with an emergency, processed a payment, and handed applica...

Israel

I've been thinking a lot about you, and praying for you. I haven't seen you face-to-face yet but I know how beautiful you are. I've been getting a picture of you everyday. Yesterday, it was a thrilling possibility of learning Hebraic roots, today through a calendar and the Word. And every moment of everyday I spent with JC. I shall see you soon :)

Hebraic Roots

This came in the mail today. I wonder if we'll do Breakforth again. But if we would, I want to attend a couple of these elective classes [if not all.] :) 34. Christ in Culture Understanding the culture during Jesus' time is essential to understanding His miracles and teachings. Why did He stoop twice to write in the sand? Why did the woman with the issue of blood touch the hem of His garment? Hebraic roots illuminate key truths. 35. Symbolism in Jesus' Teachings Why, over any other seed did...
