Boston Pizza :)

I presented the Bridge to George's class on the spot and facilitated our group as well. It was our last ETS with June since they'll leave for Mexico next week. We sent them with our prayers and went for lunch afterwards. So, it was our lunch tradition but since Asia City was closed, we went to Boston Pizza. I thank whoever got me for BIAS gift exchange for the free pizza :) I'm also thankful for tP, tJ, Leki Ness, and Yaya Kim. It was indeed a fun-filled fellowship and food sharing. We also ...

Breakfast with Jess ♥

I'm definitely not a morning person but I do love mornings. I usually take a few seconds to watch the sunrise and that already makes my morning beautiful! :) But this Friday's morning is extra special because I got up even before sunrise to have breakfast with Jess. It was such a warm fellowship, prayer, and story-telling--most especially about our trips abroad. Really enjoyed our time together. She also gave me my first Christmas card for this year- very creative, personal, and hand-made! ...

Happy birthday Ate Analyn! :)

Ate Analyn, my eldest cousin is the recent addition to our Winnipeg clan. We surprised and celebrated her first birthday here :) I pray that she may know God deeper and in a very personal way and that His favour may be upon her. Oh how I love my ate! ♥

Happy birthday Lee! :)

Lee came to the office and brought us some cake and other food to enjoy. He's one of our part-time employees and used to hold the position I have right now. I pray that he would come to know God personally and His wonderful plan for his life despite of the trials he's been and going through. Thanks also to Tita Chie for always bringing fruits. Meg said one time that no one else like fruits at their home except her mom. But I'm blessed to be a recipient of abundant provisions. So, ya, I had ...

A Vision...

Everything around me was pitch-dark, I was alone and could not see anything but black; I was afraid, I felt weak I felt like dying 'cause I was really sick. But suddenly I saw a light, A light coming from a Man wearing white, The bright light was so inviting I felt in me an energy rushing And I went running, running to His arms! His light helped me see myself, I was wearing but a filthy rag, I felt ashamed and unworthy to be hugged I couldn't help but bowed down at His feet, weeping... The...

Life in Middle East

I read an encouraging update from my Lao friend, Yui about her trip to Turkey. I can relate indeed with what God had been teaching her. She said, "I know that I am weak and I have been so overwhelmed at the reality that God loves partnering with weak and broken humanity to fulfill His plans and purposes. We see this in His partnership with Abraham in choosing the Hebrew people. He didn’t choose Israel because she was the strongest nation, but because she was the weakest and in His continual...

Through a Blue Lens

"Part of me wants to quit, wants to stop... but I think...it's almost like I got two personalities. When I get up in the morning, I don't wanna do drugs, part of me does, and that part overtakes that part that doesn't." -Nicola, Through a Blue Lens Tonight was the last class of my Assertiveness Training course. After going through an overview of the assigned chapters, my instructor showed an optional documentary film. I am one of the two students who stayed and watched. As I listen to the ...

iGeneration!

We rejoiced with Tito Romy and celebrated his retirement dinner together with his family at Kum Koon. :) Met Meg's cousins- Mark, Mae, Anna, Pura, and Jem... We are the iGeneration a.k.a. team poor eyesight. Each one of us on our table wear glasses or contacts. We were talking about how this younger generation's blurry vision had been a result of the high technology. While Meg and I feel a bit older and could not imagine how it would feel being in the mid-20s soon... that's not even half-way ...

Happy ♥

Our first ETS started tonight. We miss Ate O since she's still not feeling well, even Sheryl is a bit sick and yet managed to go through the session while lying under the blanket. But it was good, it reminded me of our family prayer time which we used to do every night when we were in the Philippines before I went to college. I was away from home for seven years. I'm grateful that God gave me a chance to redeem the years I miss being with them. A discipleship group with my siblings makes my ...

Shoeboxes :)

At tonight's BIAS, we had fun as usual though we miss Ate Kim, MC, and Laine. The last lesson, "Looking from Eternity" of our Externally Focused Life series was facilitated by Kaye in our small group, she did it for the first time. We talked about seeing the human worth through the eyes of God, being renewed by His Spirit as He promised, and pursuing His business by living out our responsibility as His ambassadors. We also started collecting shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child, a c...

Green Tea Frapp ♥

Last night was fun at E=mC2. Met Germaine and Gayle :) And thanks to Ate Kim for one of my fave refreshments that kept me awake to study after some admin work. It's gonna be Hallelujah Night, and I won't be there since I've got my HR evening class. But I'm praying that the kids, including my cousins and everyone would have fun. :)

Voice of the Martyrs

Today, Rev. Greg Musselman talked about the persecuted churches in the world during the worship service. The photo above is a Bible of a church member who was attending a prayer meeting when the militants stormed into their church building in Gombe, Nigeria. The three young assailants, members of the Islamic militant group Boko Haram, began shooting at the approximately 40 Christians, erupting the Deeper Life Bible Church into chaos. Yes, that is a Bible splattered with blood. Many were kil...

2nd year! :)

A couple of years ago, the snow waited for our family to come to Winterpeg. Today when we woke up, everything is covered with white. It's still snowing outside. I guess, it's God's sweet way of greeting us happy anniversary! :) Thanks JC. Looking forward to more years to come :)

Thursday YA ♥

It was fun to host YA at home tonight! We started a series on "Decisions: Seeking God's Guidance." Besides our very interesting topic "Why God is Silent?" we had lots of praises for God's blessings and also celebrated and rejoice with our LIFEgroup's leaders on their first wedding anniversary! As I've told them, they are a beautiful couple whose love story inspires me to wait upon the LORD :) Every Thursday, I and Jaq pray for our future husbands, too! Tonight, we pray through Jaci V.'s "I ...

AC, then JPS?! :)

Thank you, JC for A+ in my midterms :) based on my accumulated grade, I already passed the course which means I'm done with my program. Yey! Now, it's just a matter of graduating with honours. Well, I only need to attend the next 3 classes and get at least 2.5% or answer one question correctly in my final test... and I already claimed it by faith :) I'm so excited to start Applied Counselling in April. Today, I had a very interesting conversation with my bosses and an aborigine customer abou...

During the First Filipino Street Festival in Manitoba, I joined the parade with Association of Ilocanos in Manitoba who is one of those who won best in costume and float :) oh how I miss Pinas! ♥
