Didn't set an alarm last night...

Slept for about twelve hours. Must have needed it! Picture by William Warby.

Harry Potter and the Order of St Andrews

The Scottish university held an academic conference for the novels of J.K. Rowling. Read about it in the Guardian: http://ow.ly/ba56e. For my part, I say "Boo! Hiss!" to the miserable muggle of a professor - quoted in the article - who says Harry Potter is "not for grownups"! Photo by Ddragovic.

It's official!

2012 is the year that A BOOK OF GRISLY NONSENSE by Melvin S. Brackman will be coming to print! Need to do two things: sort out a suitably gruesome cover, AND make a couple of equally gruesome editorial decisions...

I'm not sure that's a women...

The Trumblebuggins has illustrations throughout, done in-house. This is one of the author's favourites.

Wracking my brain...

Need an idea for a one hour children's workshop. Something unique to do with creative writing.

"Crumbs!" said William...

Currently re-reading the Just William books by Richmal Crompton. I definitely find these funnier as a grown-up. I wonder what modern kids make of them...?

What is this?

This is the public diary of Falcon Berger books. We publish great children's books, for fun. We've just got started, so stick around to see how we do!

Great news!

Our local Waterstones invited us to get involved in the children's literature tent at the Wychwood Festival. Philip and Harry will be showcasing their books and doing some kind of workshop. More when we know it! Click "source" for image cred.
