"I have nothing but praise now, for my life. I'm not unhappy... Oh God, there are such beautiful things in the world, which I will have to leave when I die. But I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready."

Maurice Sendak, 1947–2012

19th Century Sci-Fi

I wish I understood French! Based on the illustrations, La Vie Électrique by Albert Robida looks great. It was written in 1890 (but set in the year 1955!) and can be read for free at Project Gutenberg.

Our posters at Waterstones!

We also had some giant book covers made for yesterday's signing event. They looked pretty smart!

"In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit..."

This isn't Bilbo's real house, but rather a photo of a building at Cippyn Fawr, taken from the Geograph Project. The copyright belongs to ceridwen, who licensed it for reuse under the Creative Commons Licence.

This was our first title!

The Astronaut's Apprentice by Philip Threadneedle. It's a humorous space adventure, which we published just over a year ago.

Waterstones-2

One off the bucket list!

This was a big moment for us: titles by both our authors, in stock at our lovely local Waterstones. Sorry for lousy pic - all I had was a phone to record the moment!

Hello world...

This is the public diary of Falcon Berger books. We publish great children's books, for fun. We've just got started, so stick around to see how we do!
